I have used Capella-Scan 9 for several months and am now fairly proficient with it. I am now running a trial version of Capella 9 in the hope that it will let me achieve something which I cannot do in Capscan.

I need to be able to merge scores vertically. For some songs, I have the vocal parts in one score and the piano accompaniment in another score. Both scores have the same number of bars and total note value, so they should fit together ok. I was expecting to be able to add two empty staves under the choral parts and copy the notes from the accompaniment score into them - but I can't find a way of doing it. There doesn't seem to be a Paste command - only an Insert. When I try to paste the notes from the accompaniment score into the empty staves, the vocal systems are pushed to the right by an equal amount - doubling the lenth of the score and NOT placing the accompaniment under the vocal parts. Am I trying to do something unreasonable? I hope not! This is something which I would expect every music editing program to be able to do. Or maybe I'm missing something obvious, and it's actually easy? I hope so. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

When i couldn't make copy and paste work in the way I expected it to work, I had a look at Plugins. There's one called Score-synthesis which looks hopefol from the description, but I can't make that work either.

Being able to merge scores in this way was the principal reason for trying Capella 9. I need to resolve the problem quickly, before the end of the trial period in to determine whether to purchase a licence. All help and advice greatfully received.

Ich habe Capella-Scan 9 mehrere Monate lang verwendet und bin jetzt ziemlich gut damit vertraut. Ich verwende jetzt eine Testversion von Capella 9 in der Hoffnung, dass ich damit etwas erreichen kann, was ich in Capscan nicht kann.

Ich muss Partituren vertikal zusammenführen können. Bei einigen Liedern habe ich die Gesangsstimmen in einer Partitur und die Klavierbegleitung in einer anderen Partitur. Beide Partituren haben die gleiche Anzahl von Takten und den gleichen Gesamtnotenwert, also sollten sie gut zusammenpassen. Ich hatte erwartet, zwei leere Notensysteme unter den Chorstimmen hinzufügen und die Noten aus der Begleitpartitur in sie kopieren zu können – aber ich finde keine Möglichkeit, das zu tun. Es scheint keinen Einfügebefehl zu geben – nur einen Einfügen-Befehl. Wenn ich versuche, die Noten aus der Begleitpartitur in die leeren Notensysteme einzufügen, werden die Gesangssysteme um den gleichen Betrag nach rechts verschoben – die Länge der Partitur wird verdoppelt und die Begleitung wird NICHT unter den Gesangsstimmen platziert. Versuche ich etwas Unvernünftiges zu tun? Ich hoffe nicht! Das ist etwas, was ich von jedem Musikbearbeitungsprogramm erwarten würde. Oder übersehe ich vielleicht etwas Offensichtliches und es ist eigentlich ganz einfach? Ich hoffe es. Bitte sagen Sie mir, was ich falsch mache.

Als ich das Kopieren und Einfügen nicht so hinbekam, wie ich es erwartet hatte, habe ich mir Plugins angesehen. Es gibt eins namens Score-synthesis, das der Beschreibung nach hoffnungsvoll aussieht, aber das kriege ich auch nicht hin.

Die Möglichkeit, Partituren auf diese Weise zusammenzuführen, war der Hauptgrund, warum ich Capella 9 ausprobiert habe. Ich muss das Problem schnell lösen, bevor die Testphase endet, um zu entscheiden, ob ich eine Lizenz erwerben soll. Jede Hilfe und jeder Rat ist dankbar.
